An actor who recently appeared in the cult TV show Twin Peaks has been accused of trying to murder his girlfriend with a bat.
Jeremy Lindholm was arrested on Wednesday night on attempted second degree murder charges, after a violent attack involving a baseball bat.
The Spokane Police Department responded to a call of a man assaulting a woman with a bat at a local business in Spokane, Washington.
The 41-year-old actor was captured on camera fleeing the scene with the weapon in hand, before being arrested and taken into custody.
"There was information suggesting the intent of Lindholm was to kill the victim," the police's news release said.
According to court documents obtained by local news station KREM, Lindholm told police he had been arguing with his girlfriend of five years before she headed out to buy him a drink.
After waiting for a while, Lindholm went to find her at work armed with the bat.
According to the police, she was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Lindholm starred in the sixth episode of the latest season of David Lynch's show, alongside actor Harry Dean Stanton.
According to celebrity magazine TMZ, Lindholm is being held on $100,000 (£77,000) bond.
In a statement to PEOPLE magazine, Lindholm's agent said: "We have worked with him on bookings for television, film, and commercial projects. We are stunned at the news of his arrest.
"Our interaction with him has always been consistently professional. We will monitor the trial. Our thoughts are with all involved and their families."
