Tokio Wins BGT

Pianist Tokio Myers has been crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2017 after wowing fans with a rendition of Rag n Bone man’s hit Human.

He beat 11 other acts to scoop the top prize of £250,000 and will perform at this year’s Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen.

When his name was announced by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly he fell to the ground with shock.
Runner up Issy Simpson was gracious in defeat and thanked the judges for bringing her onto the show.

David Walliams called Tokio’s act the “performance of the night,” while Alesha Dixon declared the talented 32-year-old was “the coolest” contestant the show had ever seen.

Following his crowning moment, Tokio took to the stage for a final time and played the audience out.

He became visibly emotional as he sat at his piano and the audience rose to their feet to give him a standing ovation.
