One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles has announced the launch of his hotly-anticipated solo career set to take place on US TV on April 15.
The 23-year-old will make his first live appearance as a solo artist on US telly show Saturday Night Live next month – announcing the plan this evening.
The TV gig will act as a major launch pad for his latest career move as he moves away from the chart-topping group, with whom he recorded five albums.
Saturday Night Live tweeted: “Excited to announce @jimmyfallon and @Harry_Styles will be in studio 8H on April 15! #FallonStylesSNL”.
He has since been working with Bruno Mars, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, super producer Max Martin and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder on his highly-anticipated first album.
It is expected to be released later this year, when fans will also get to see his debut in a major movie.
He plays a soldier in the Christopher Nolan war epic Dunkirk which is scheduled to be released on July 21.
