Flying in on the east wind, clutching her umbrella and carpet bag, Mary Poppins is about to serve up a spoonful of sugar to a fresh generation.
In its new trailer, Disney has finally given us a glimpse of sequel Mary Poppins Returns, which sees Emily Blunt take over from Julie Andrews.
Set in 1930s London, the film shows the Banks children as adults, with the newly widowed Michael struggling to care for his kids.
The blockbuster sequel, due out in cinemas here in time for Christmas, promises as many adventures as the 1964 film, which was based on P.L. Travers’ series of books.
There’s even a rooftop dance reminiscent of the original routine and a Dick Van Dyke cameo.
The sequel also stars Meryl Streep and Colin Firth.
