Charity record for Grenfell Tower block victims

Simon Cowell has confirmed that there will be a charity record for the victims of the Grenfell Tower block tragedy.

Officials fear the death toll could go past 100 as a fire chief revealed it would “be a miracle” to pull anyone out alive after a blaze tore through the tower block, believed to have started at around 1am Wednesday morning.

Earlier this evening The X Factor boss revealed that he had been watching the “heartbreaking” footage of the Grenfell tower blaze.

He then went on to reveal that he was planning to raise money for the victims of the tragedy.

Simon tweeted: “We hope to confirm a record tomorrow which will raise some money for the many people affected by this tragedy. Making calls tonight.”

Other celebrities have also reached out to help those in need after the disaster.

The Sun Online revealed that Towie’s Tommy Mallett donated 15 massive boxes of clothes to victims of London tower block fire and delivered them to local mosque.

Over 2,000 people have been left homeless after the horrific fire in the Grenfell Tower.
