Woman Seriously Assaulted In 'Extremely Violent Robbery' In Bradford

The victim, in her 40s, was punched in face and lost several teeth in the incident in Manningham last month.

Police have released CCTV footage of two people they want to speak to, after a woman suffered serious facial injuries in a robbery in Bradford.

It happened in Bertram Road in Manningham on 23 July at about 11pm.

The victim, a woman in her forties, was walking along the road when she was approached by a male who punched her in the face.

The suspect then tried to take the victim’s mobile phone and assaulted her before stealing her handbag and making off on foot.

The victim suffered a broken nose, fractured eye socket and lost several of her teeth.

Detective Inspector Claire Smith, of Bradford District CID, said:

“This was an extremely violent robbery which left the victim needing hospital treatment for her injuries.

“Our enquiries to identify the suspect are ongoing and we are keen to identify two people who may be able to assist.

“Both were seen on CCTV walking towards the junction of St Paul’s Road and Bertram Road at around the time of the robbery, so we believe they may have information which will help to progress our investigation.”
