Witnesses sought after Halifax petrol station robbery

Two masked men entered the garage last month and demanded cash.

Police are seeking witnesses to a robbery which happened at a petrol station in Halifax in the early hours of Sunday 21 June 2020.

A 26-year-old woman was in the Texaco garage, on Pellon Lane, at about 3.10am when two men, wearing face masks, entered the shop demanding access to cash.

They dragged her into a storeroom and forced entry to a secure area by kicking open a door but were disturbed by others in the shop and fled the scene having stolen money from a coat pocket and a gold and pink-coloured iPhone 6, which had a picture of a young boy on the back of it.

 The woman was unhurt.

The first man is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, about 5ft 6ins tall, and of slim build. He had, what has been described as short, black Afro-type hair. He was wearing a distinctive Puffa-type coat which had a small symbol or writing on the left side of the chest or arm.

The second suspect was also in his late teens to early 20’s, about 6ft tall, and with lighter-coloured skin than the first suspect. He was wearing black jacket with ‘EA7’ on the left-hand side of the chest.

Both men were wearing a black face mask.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who might have information about the suspects,or witnessed anything which may relate to the crime, to contact them on 101 or via the online Live Chat facility, quoting crime reference number 13200309232.
