Police are appealing for witnesses after the robbery in Huddersfield
Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed in an incident at a house in Huddersfield.
Kirklees District CID would like to speak to anyone who has information about the incident which took place at an address on Southfield Road in Huddersfield on Sunday.
The incident occurred between 2.40am and 3.15am after two men broke into the property, went upstairs and assaulted a vulnerable man inside.
They stole a gold chain from him and took cash from the house before fleeing.
A suspect was described as male, slim 5ft 7 to 5ft 8ins tall wearing all black clothing including black woolly gloves and a black woolly balaclava.
The victim was left unhurt but very shaken by the experience.
Detective Inspector James Bellhouse of Kirklees CID, said: “This has been a particularly serious, cowardly and nasty incident in which two men have broken inside a home and assaulted the victim in his bedroom before stealing property.
“The victim is vulnerable and while he wasn’t visibly injured he was understandably very shaken by what happened.
