Two Men Stabbed In Batley Nightclub Attack

The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning at Chapo's Nightclub on Bradford Road.

Two men have received hospital treatment after a stabbing in a Batley nightclub.

The attack happened just before 3am in the early hours of Saturday March 3, at Chapo's Nightclub on Bradford Road.

It happened after an argument between three men broke out in the club.

A 26-year-old man receieved hospital treatment for injuries to his legs, whilst another man, who's age is not known, was treated for an injury to his back.

Their injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.

Another 26-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of wounding with intent - and is in police custody.

DI Mark Catney of Kirklees CID, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances of what took place and we are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who saw the incident inside the club or the victims or suspect outside in the immediate aftermath.

"Anyone who has information is asked to contact Kirklees CID on 101 referencing crime number 13180102578.

"Information can also be given anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
