It comes in on Thursday and also covers, the rest of northern England and Scotland.

Forecasters warn heavy showers bring the chance of some flooding and travel delays.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some travel disruption and flooding in places during Thursday afternoon and evening.

"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded and where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services."
