The 16-year-old has been questioned on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm following an incident near a school in Bradford.
It happened in Saltaire on Monday afternoon. It's alleged students were threatened with the weapon.
Headteacher at Titus Salt School, Ian Morrel, said: "There was an incident in Saltaire on the afternoon of Monday 13 May 2019 around 3.10pm involving a group of young men visiting the area.
"There was an allegation that one of the young men had a weapon."
Police say there were initial reports that a weapon was involved but no weapon was found. No one is believed to have been injured during the incident.
A 16-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He has been released on bail.
Inspector Craig Strothers, from West Yorkshire Police, added: “This incident has caused concern in the local community and we have increased patrols in the area to offer a reassuring presence.”
