(16/9) Police have charged a 35 year old man on suspicion of Murder and Possession of a Bladed Article after the death of 21 year old woman Bethany Fields, who was found seriously injured on Fitzwilliam Street in Huddersfield on Thursday evening.
Paul Crowther of Elm Way in Birstall, has been remanded in custody to appear before Leeds Magistrates today.
The family of Bethany have also issued the following tribute statement:-
"The life of Bethany, who was a beautiful, talented, ambitious, intelligent, kind, giving, and loving daughter, was tragically taken from her."
"A daughter, who any parent would have been proud of, much loved and respected by all; family, friends, work colleagues and fellow students."
(13/9) Detectives are continuing their investigation following the death of a woman in Huddersfield last night.
Police were called to Fitzwilliam Street at around 6:12pm to reports of a woman being seriously injured.
Emergency services, including paramedics, were quickly deployed to the scene, but the 21-year-old was pronounced deceased.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after the incident. He remains in police custody at this time.
This is believed to be a domestic-related incident.
A police cordon is currently in still place in the area and will remain whilst officers continue with their enquiries.
Local NPT teams will be conducting high visibility reassurance patrols in and around the area throughout today.
