Police in Bradford concerned for safety of woman seen in 'distressed state'

They were called to an incident in Grove Terrace last night, but did not find the woman, who's believed to be injured.

Police investigating an incident where a woman is believed to have been injured in Bradford are appealing for information.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw a black Vauxhall Corsa in Grove Terrace at about 7.20pm yesterday or anyone who saw a male and female arguing in the area at around this time.

This follows a call police received at about 7.30pm yesterday relating to the concern for safety of a woman who was said to be in a distressed state.

Officers attended but were unable to locate her.

Enquiries are continuing to locate the woman, who is described as an Asian female.

A man has been arrested in relation to this incident and is currently in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Police, said:

“Our enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of this incident and we are appealing for anyone with information which may assist to contact us.

“However our main concern is for the welfare of this woman as we believe she was injured so we need to know she is safe and well.”
