olice have investigating the death of a 38-year-old man from Bradford have charged a man with manslaughter.
Sean Holt (31) from Vivien Road, Bradford will appear before Leeds Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with the manslaughter of a man police can now name as Paul McTasney nee Adams, aged 38, who is pictured below.
Paul died as a result of head injuries sustained in an assault on Vivien Road in the early hours of Saturday May 9.
A 22-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the matter has been released with no further action taken.
Enquiries remain ongoing into Mr McTasney’s death by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.
Detectives have launched a murder enquiry after a man died following a serious assault in Bradford.
Homicide police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place on Vivien Road, Bradford in the early hours of Saturday morning (9th May).
Officers were called by the ambulance service at 1:52am after they had taken a man to hospital with serious head injuries.
It is believed the man, a 38-year-old from Bradford, had been seriously assaulted on Vivien Road.
Despite treatment the victim sadly died in hospital of his injuries.
Two men aged 21 and 22 were arrested in connection with the serious assault - also early on Saturday morning.
Detective Chief Inspector Fiona Gaffney of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team said: “We have launched a murder enquiry in relation to this incident and specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family.
“We are holding two men under arrest and I want to thank members of the public who have approached us with information so far as we continue investigate this very serious incident.”
