Man dies after coming off his bike in Kirklees

65 year old Patrick Bredin from Huddersfield was injured on 15th June, and died a week later in hospital.

Police are trying to find out how a man who died after a cycling incident in West Yorkshire came off his bike.

The 65 year old was cycling in a group in the direction of Clayton West, near Huddersfield, when he progressed ahead and negotiated a left hand bend in the road

Moments later, he was found on the floor with life changing injuries and transported to Leeds General Infirmary.

Sadly, Patrick Bredin from the Huddersfield area passed away on 22nd June.

Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time who may have seen what happened.
