Man attacked and has car stolen in Halifax

It happened on Battinson Road in the town just before midnight on Monday last week.

A man's been beaten up and had his car stolen by a gang of robbers in Halifax.

At around 11.50pm on Monday 20th July, a 33-year-old man was assaulted by a group of three or four males on Battinson Road after being flagged down in his car.

The males, then made off in his vehicle, a grey Audi S4 estate with a registration starting MD66.

The victim was not seriously injured.

The first suspect is described as white, approximately 6ft and around 40 years old. He was of medium, lean build and was wearing a balaclava, a white polo top, a black zip up hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second suspect was described as skinny, wearing all black clothing and wearing a balaclava.

The third suspect was white, spoke with a Scouse accent and was wearing all black clothing and a balaclava.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at around the time of the incident or anyone who saw three man acting suspiciously in the area.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen the Audi vehicle which was stolen in the incident.
