A number of burglaries took place over a ten hour period in the town.
A man has been arrested in connection with a number of burglaries in Mirfield.
The incidents occurred in various locations across the town yesterday (Tuesday February 13.
The first was happened between 2am and 6am at the Dusty Miller pub on Dunbottle Lane - where a number of mobile phones and cash was stolen.
The second incident happened at the Little Acorns Day Nursery on Towngate, around 3.45am. A window was smashed with a brick - an alarm went off and the suspect fled towards a church nearby.
The final incident happened between 11.45am and 12.45pm at an address on Parker Lane. A suspect entered the property and was confronted by the victim, before escaping through the back door with three watches and an iPhone.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Mark Atkinson, of Kirklees CID, said: "There have been a number of burglaries in the Mirfield area over the past few days and we have arrested a man in connection with some of these incidents.
"I would like to reassure the community that we have a dedicated team of detectives who are conducting extensive enquiries including house-to-house and CCTV.
"Enquiries remain ongoing and I would like to appeal to Mirfield residents and members of the public to come forward with any information to assist with our investigation."
