Zanks For The Memories: Zanka Departs Huddersfield Town

The defender has moved to Fenerbache on a permanent deal.

Huddersfield Town have confirmed that Mathias ‘Zanka’ Jørgensen has completed a permanent transfer to Turkish Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe.

The 29-year-old joined the Terriers from FC Copenhagen on a three-year contract in the summer of 2017 and made a total of 65 starts for the Club in all competitions.

The Danish centre back now moves to the Istanbul-based club ahead of the closure of the transfer window, with the terms of the transfer remaining undisclosed.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach Jan Siewert commented: “This transfer is one that is correct for everyone involved, so I am glad we reached the deal we wanted with Fenerbahçe in this transfer window”

“Good luck to Zanka at his new Club.”
