Huddersfield Town midfielder Jack Payne has joined League One side Blackburn Rovers on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was recalled from Oxford United, also of League One, yesterday.

His loan spell will be extended if the Lancashire side reach the play-offs - allowing Payne to feature in the extra games.

The attacking midfielder has impressed in League One already this season - contributing seven goals and 12 assists during his 33 matches at Oxford.

He could make his debut for Rovers, who sit third in the table, on Saturday January 20 - when they travel to Fleetwood Town.
