Toffolo's A Terrier

He'll wear the vacant number three shirt at the Club.

Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of defender Harry Toffolo from League 1 side Lincoln City.

The 24-year-old left-back has put pen-to-paper on a contract that will run until the summer of 2022, with the club having the option of a further year’s extension. The terms of the transfer will remain undisclosed.

Toffolo is well known to Town’s management team of Danny and Nicky Cowley, as they took him to Sincil Bank in the summer of 2018.

One of the stand-out left-backs in League 1 so far this season, Harry has previously been capped by England up to Under-20 level.

Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley commented:

“Harry is a boy we know really well; one of the best human beings we have ever worked with. He’s made some outstanding progress in the last 18 months and I don’t think any professional footballer has worked harder for this opportunity than him.

“He’s diligent, a great learner and has an A* work ethic and attitude. These are essential qualities that we look for in players.

“As a left-back, he respects both sides of the game. He’s very good in offensive moments, a strong runner, likes to overlap and enjoys getting into advanced areas. Most importantly, defensively, he’s physical, robust, a good one vs one defender and defends the back post well.

“He’s on an upwards curve and has earnt the right to play at this level.”

Harry will wear the vacant number three shirt at the Club.
