Terriers Loan Wallace To Scunthorpe

Murray Wallace

Defender has signed an emergency loan deal with the League 2 side.

Huddersfield Town defender Murray Wallace has joined League 1 club Scunthorpe United on an Emergency Loan until 26 September.
The 22 year-old defender has been an unused substitute for every one of the Terriers' Championship fixtures in the 2015/16 season so far.
Murray is expected to go straight into Scunthorpe’s squad for the away game at Colchester United on Saturday.
Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell said: “Murray can count himself a little unlucky to have found himself out of our side after a good pre-season.
“I could be selfish and keep Murray in the building but at his age and stage of his development, I believe it is the best thing for Murray and the Club if he goes out and plays regular football at a good level. Equally, we have good cover at centre back at the moment thanks to the summer arrival of Martin Cranie.
“This move to Scunthorpe United is an ideal opportunity for Murray to go out and further his experience. I believe experience and know-how is vitally important for centre backs and I hope he goes to Scunthorpe and plays regularly under a Manager who knows him well in Mark Robins.
“We’ll monitor Murray’s progress carefully; I look forward to seeing him do well.”
