28-year-old joins Sky Blues until end of the season.
Huddersfield Town midfielder Anton Robinson has been loaned out to Coventry.
The 28-year-old will stay with the League 1 club until the end of the season.
He's expected to go straight into the Sky Blues' squad to face Stevenage on Wednesday evening.
His contract at Huddersfield Town expires in the summer.
Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins said: “This move is a fantastic one for Anton at this stage of the season.
“He has worked very hard to recover from the serious knee injury that he sustained at the end of last season and has returned to full fitness, but he has been unable to break into our side we want to give him every chance to impress and secure a contract at another club next season. This loan spell at Coventry gives him the opportunity.
“Coventry still has a lot to play for this season – they are currently four points above the relegation zone in League 1 after overcoming their points reduction – and Anton can go and show what he is capable of.”
