Defender leaves John Smith's Stadium for undisclosed fee.

Liam Ridehalgh has re-joined Sky Bet League 1 club Tranmere Rovers on a permanent deal.

The 22-year Academy graduate has spent the last three months on loan at Prenton Park, making 17 starts and scoring one goal for Ronnie Moore’s side.

Ridehalgh will now make his move to the Wirral permanent on undisclosed terms.

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins commented: “Liam is a good professional, a great person and has been at the Club for over a decade, but at this stage of his career he needs regular football and this move will allow him to get that.

“Tranmere Rovers is a good club playing in a very competitive League and we hope Liam can play a big role for them in the second-half of their season.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club, I’d like to wish Liam all the best for the future.”
