21-year-old has agreed a six month deal.

Huddersfield Town striker Jimmy Spencer has joined Sky Bet League 2 side Scunthorpe United on a Standard Loan until 5 January 2014.

The 21-year-old appeared as a second half substitute against Cardiff but has not featured in the match day squad since.

He spent some time on loan at Brentford, though, where he made two substitute appearances before picking up an injury, which kept him out for the remainder of the season.

Town Manager Mark Robins said: "Jimmy is fully fit following an injury and a complete pre-season but he now needs to get back into first team football and match action.

"He enjoyed success at League 2 level with Cheltenham during a previous loan spell so it should prove as a good starting point.

"Scunthorpe are a team who we expect to be pushing for promotion this season so it should prove a good challenge for Jimmy.

"They are also fairly close to home which means that we can monitor his progress closely.”
