Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell has been shortlisted for the Championship ‘Manager of the Month’ award for October.

The Terriers chief is up against Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and new Fulham manager Kit Symons for the accolade.

Powell guided Town to an unbeaten run during October, taking a total of nine points from five matches courtesy of wins at Wolves and at home to Blackpool, combined with draws at Blackburn, Ipswich and at home to Brighton.

The shortlist is put together by a judging panel chaired by former Norwich City manager Chris Hughton, encompassing Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman, Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.

The winner will be announced on Friday 7 November.
