Paladini Fails In City Takeover Bid

Read a statement from Bradford City here.

A proposed takeover of Bradford City by Italian businessman Gianni Paladini has not gone through.

Paladini had an exclusivity deal with the club which meant they could neither discuss the talks nor speak to any other potential buyer.

That period ended at midnight on Friday 29th May.

The club announced at that time that no agreement had been reached.

Paladini had once owned QPR and had recently tried to purchase Nottingham Forest.

A club spokesman said: "The joint chairman Julian Rhodes and Mark Lawn will continue to run the club as they have been doing.

"[They] plan to take Bradford City forward into the new season at an exciting time for the club and it's supporters."

Exclusive full match commentary of every Bradford City game in the 2015/16 season will be on Pulse 1 Sport.
