Bulls co-captain to have knee surgery.

Bradford Bulls co-captain Heath L'Estrange has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The hooker picked up a knock in the defeat to Catalan Dragons on Sunday.

After seeing a specialist today, an operation was thought necessary

Initial diagnosis has reported no ligament damage but the injury is serious enough to keep him out for the rest of the season.

Bulls head coach Francis Cummins said: "It's a blow losing Heath at this stage of the season but the injury is not as bad as we thought at the time.

"Heath will be fit again to fully start pre-season training when the players report back.”
