Listen to the Bradford City joint chairman's comments ahead of the Sunderland game here.
Bradford City joint chairman Mark Lawn has spoken to Pulse 1 and Pulse 2 about the furore surrounding the Valley Parade pitch.
Manager Phil Parkinson hit out after the 1-1 draw with Colchester last month, saying a 'professional game should not have been played on it'.
It's now just a few days to go until Bradford host Sunderland in the FA Cup.
Lawn told us: "He [Parkinson] wanted us to get the game on, it shouldn't have gone on and it was always going to cut up.
"The trouble is once it cuts up like that it is difficult to get back.
"But we've been working on it and it'll be better on Sunday.
"I know people say we want to create a bad pitch for Sunderland, but I think we'll try to play some decent football."
You can listen to more from Mark Lawn on Pulse 1 Sport on Sunday. Jason Thornton and Ian Ormondroyd will be on air, on 97.5 and 102.5 FM, from 1pm.
