Defender Mark Hudson signs two year deal on transfer deadline day.
Huddersfield Town have bolstered their defensive options with the transfer deadline signing of Cardiff City Captain Mark Hudson for a nominal undisclosed fee.
The 32 year-old was Captain at his three previous clubs – Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic and still at Cardiff City ahead of his move.
He's played over 300 games in the Sky Bet Championship and Premier League.
The defender signed a two year contract at the Terriers and will wear squad number four during the 2014/15 season.
Huddersfield Town’s Caretaker Manager Mark Lillis said: “The Club has stayed patient to bring in the right man to improve the central defensive options and that has been rewarded with this arrival of Mark this evening.
“Organisation and experience are very important attributes in the heart of your defence and Mark has both in abundance.
"He is a leader with vast experience of the Championship and is a massive arrival for this football club.
“There are not many centre backs of his type and quality around; he can be a hugely influential addition."
