New Bradford City head coach David Hopkin says he turned down a number of clubs, over the summer and this month, to come to Valley Parade.

The former Bantams midfielder spoke to the media for the first time on Thursday.

His first game in charge, since replacing the sacked Michael Collins, will be on Saturday away at Blackpool; you can hear full-match commentary of the game on Pulse 2 MatchDay:LIVE.

Hopkin said: "The first thing I have to do is galvanise the training ground.

"Once I do that, then the players will believe in me, I will believe in them and we can transfer that to Valley Parade on a Saturday."
