Davies Injury Causes City Defensive Crisis

Andrew Davies out for up to four months.

Bradford City have been plunged into a defensive crisis after it was confirmed centre half Andrew Davies is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

He faces four months out after undergoing knee surgery yesterday.

It's believed he picked up the injury in last weekend's win over Walsall.

The injury is believed to linked to an old issue that has troubled Davies in the past.

This devastating piece of news for both the defender and City means Bantams boss Phil Parkinson will most likely be without Davies' services until into the new calendar year.

With Rory McArdle and Carl McHugh on international duty, and Matt Taylor unable to be recalled, it leaves the Bantams with just one recognised centre-back for the game against Tranmere on Sunday.
