Clarke Out With Knee Injury

Billy Clarke

Listen to Phil Parkinson speaking about the striker's knock here.

Billy Clarke is to have tests on a knee injury after limping out of Bradford's clash with Shrewsbury on Saturday.

The striker scored in the first half but was forced off after the break.

The game finished 1-1, with the Bantams picking up their first point of the season.

It's not yet known for how long Clarke could be out.

Manager Phil Parkinson told Pulse 1 Sport after the game: "He's damaged his medial ligament.

"To what extent we don't know yet.

"It's a real blow for him and for us because he is a real talented player.

"He was picking the ball up in some dangerous positions [against Shrewsbury] and drawing fouls and in the end they have got him off the pitch by injuring him- which is a shame."

Pulse 1 Sport is back on Tuesday evening with build-up to exclusive full match commentary of Bradford City vs Gillingham. Jason and Stix will be on air from 7pm.
