Christmas Light Switch On

Saturday 16th November – 5pm – City Park

Not your ordinary Christmas Light Switch on!
Don’t miss this airborne, rock spectacular by British Band, Duchamp Pilot and Argentine aerial artists, Voàlà. The band will play to 12 spinning acrobats suspended 100 feet in the air on a giant illuminated ‘Op-Art mobile’. A dazzling performance to remember. Read more.
Throughout the day, there will be street food available and spectacular festive street theatre to get everyone in the mood for Christmas.

Christmas Street Theatre

16th November – 21st December

Every Saturday until December 21st, City Park will be hosting festive street entertainment in the build up to Christmas. Each Saturday, you’ll get to witness a high level of quality entertainment to the public in the City Centre.

16th November

The street theatre will be joined by beautiful snow stilt walkers and giant winter wonderland birds with Frosty the Snowman turning Bradford into a Winter Wonderland in preparation for the evening’s Light Switch on.

23rd November

Catch Santa and his helpers in Bradford today as they visit shoppers in Bradford.

30th November

The street theatre will be supported with fantastic stilt walkers in Bradford City Centre with the amazing Grange Moor Brass Band performing.

Want to take the kids to see Santa? From the 17th November until Christmas Eve, Santa us in his Grotto every day. Entry is free, there is a charge for photo’s. See www.kirkgate.co.uk for opening times.

Need help with your wrapping? Free Gift Wrapping starts Thursday 21st November at the Kirkgate Centre - gifts purchased in the Centre can be wrapped for free until Christmas Eve. Proof of purchase required and we also welcome donations on behalf of Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.

Victorian Christmas Markets

23rd & 24th November - Bradford Industrial Museum

Bradford Industrial Museum welcomes visitors to its popular annual market, where preparations for the festive season will be underway. As well as live costumed performances on site, shoppers will be able to listen to Christmas music, visit Father Christmas in his Bradford tram and take part in family craft activities.

With over sixty stalls on site, this is the perfect opportunity to tick off items on your Christmas present list.

Bradford Christmas Market

Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December. This bustling market with over 40 stalls on Darley Street, Kirkgate, Bank Street and Tyrell Street has something to offer everyone! As well as lots of festive treats for the family there's lots of lovely Christmas cuisine on offer.
